Ajuga Reptans ‘Chocolate Chip’

Ajuga reptans ‘Chocolate Chip’ is a low-growing evergreen perennial that makes superb ground cover, forming a carpet of chocolatey purple foliage above which short spikes of lilac-blue flowers rise in spring. Thriving in any position from full sun to full shade, this low-maintenance dwarf bugle grows where grass cannot, makes a very attractive weed suppressor and is loved by bees and butterflies. Ajuga ‘Chocolate Chip’ is also ideal for edging paths or borders. Height: 10cm (4in). Spread: 15-145cm (0.5-4.5ft).
