Caryota Mitis

Valued for its fabulous foliage, Caryota mitis is a distinctive houseplant which certainly deserves its moniker of ‘Fish Tail Palm’. Thin stems rise stiffly upwards before arching gracefully into fans of triangular green leaflets. Native to tropical Asia, the exuberant foliage instantly evokes the lush canopy of a tropical rainforest. Its upright growth habit lends itself to corner spots and areas where space is limited. Maximum height: 2m (6.5ft). Spread: 1m (3.2ft).
