A lovely collection of houseplants all with their own benefits for wellbeing. The peace lily is a well-loved houseplant, one reason being for its air-purifying qualities. It can remove toxins and pollutants from the air surrounding it. The white blooms offer instant beauty too to any space. Keep away from radiators, cold draughts and out of the direct glare of the sunlight as this may scorch the leaves.

Sansevieria Trifasciata Var. Laurentii aka the snake plant, is another stunning plant which has air purifying qualities and can remove toxins and pollutants from the air around it. Its variegated foliage has an upright habit and looks almost sword like – another known name for it is Mother-In-Laws Tongue. It is quite tolerant so it can be placed in an entrance hall where it may face cold draughts. Be sure it can get some sun and some shade throughout the day.

An aloe vera plant is popular for its medicinal qualities. The sap inside its thick fleshy foliage has cooling qualities which is commonly used for scalds and burns. It is easy to care for which may be another reason for its popularity. It will thrive on a windowsill where it can get plenty of bright sun.
